A meticulously crafted stop motion fashion film created for dotComme, showcasing a collection of rare, one-off and highly collectible garments from the label’s archive. Silky Jazz led the creative direction, production and film direction, developing the visual concept and bringing the collection to life through a highly considered stop motion approach.

The film treats the garments with the reverence of couture and craftsmanship, using precise stop motion animation to reveal their unique details, textures and construction. Through a playful sequence of unfolding garments and musical gestures, the pieces appear to transform and magically adorn the models, blurring the line between fashion, movement and animation.

The handcrafted approach gives the film a tactile, surreal quality, allowing the rare fashion pieces to become the focus while creating a sense of discovery and anticipation around each reveal.

Set to an original soundtrack by Tornado Wallace, the film combines stop motion, fashion, music and visual storytelling to create an imaginative portrait of a collection built around individuality and rarity.

The result is a distinctive fashion film and stop motion production that celebrates collectible clothing as both fashion and art, giving each one-off piece its own moment in the spotlight.
